We ran to the island one morning when no one else was around. Bliss. The tourists eventually rock up, but this is a great island with so much to see and some breath taking architecture. Worth the trip there.

excellent park to stretch your legs with a long walk or bike ride. we didn't use the amusement area but stayed in the more natural areas. good birding especially in the marsh area in the northwest corner along the slightly hiden victorian trail. ice cream at the restaurant in the northeast part of park was a great break. take change... Kungliga Djurgården in Stockholm is a place to calm down from the stress in the city. You have places to see to, like Skansen, an outdoor museum, with old houses, a small zoo and entertainment at night like "Allsång på Skansen", also a live tv-show with different artists once a week. Then you have Vasamuseet, a museum of the sunken... More

ABBA Museum on Djurgarden is worth to see. But mention they don't take cash, tickets have to be paid by credit card. Foreigners have to show also an identification when using their credit card.

We didn't see all of Djurgarden, just the Vasa and Skansen (the open air museum/theme park/zoo. It was a nice visit, even though it rained on us!

The architecture and its cultural appearance are just great! The park and it's surroundings are a part of Stockholm's green lunges and you can walk miles and mils, have picknick if the weather permits and enjoy the lovely sea view.

The island Djurgården starts off as a very busy place with museums, restaurants, tivoli et, etc. we was biking and just after some few 100 meters we started at the coasttrack going around the island. Very nice landscape and seaview all the way. Stylish parks, some few grand villas an a well maintained path system. Finally at the north side... More

Djurgården is an Island Close to city centre in Stockholm. It's extremely Beautiful. You could take a walk round the Island which would probably take you a couple of hours. You could also visit Skansen an open-air museum with lots of animals, old Buildings and a nice nature. You have the Wasa museum, biological museum, Abba museum and the Nordic... More

The Djurgården area is wonderful for walks in the parks and visiting museums. The Skansen open air museum is perhaps a little expensive?
