Very little to see here! A few tired farms and buildings with little information to make them intereesting. Best part of the trip there was meeting some folks I made fiends with!

Always a good place to go walking. After the walk to pop-in for a coffee at ex-President Kekkonen Cafe or other cafes nearby.

We biked over from our hotel - lots of bike paths lead there. We found the iron age village first, although no one was there, sometimes apparently there are artisans. The houses were well preserved aand gave a slice of life from the 1800s, from farmers, wealthy land owners to a famous writer. THe cafe wasn't great, but had some... More

This is a wonderful way to spend a few hours in beautiful surroundings and learn about some history of life in Finland. Taking bus 24 is super easy way to get there. You can walk around the island for free, and just see the outside of the houses / buildings. Or you can buy a ticket and then see the... More

Good way to spend a morning or afternoon. Can do at your own pace, gorgeous viewpoints of the sea. Fun place to picnic. The boat ride out gives a good view of the city.

Its easier to imagine how they lived in the past if you can walk around those well preserved houses. And all set in a nice forest on the island.

I live very near to Seurasaari island and so I go often there just to take a walk and relax. I usually just walk around the island and then stop at the bridge to watch the swans. The beautiful old houses from different places in Finland relocated on the island are interesting and beautiful to look at and the wild... More

Seurasaari is an island north-west of Helsinki. It is a nice bicycle ride along the bay across parks and wooded areas. Many birds can be seen there too. A pedestrian wooden bridge leads to the open air museum on the island. It costs 8euros for an adult. They provide a detailed map that allows you to go on your own.... More

Once you there, you won't want to leave. Nice historical park, with house from different times and places from all over Finland. Besides, it's just a nice place for picnic or just a walk. And remember, feeding squirrels is forbidden.

this island is the place where we locals go to have fresh air and peace all year round. I recommend you to hire a bike and get around helsinki - the bike roads take you to seurasaari easily. our president lives very close so you might get a glimpse of him too - he likes to rollerskate. if you are...
