A must do. Easy 35 train ride and then a very pretty 3 km walk (train lets you off in the middle of NOwhere!) and then staff can call you a taxi, if you do not want to walk back, make sure to allow 20?? Mins to view the interview with eero's daughter in the basement of the house, and... More

Hvitträsk is situated outside of Helsinki, so you have to take a bus or a train (to Kirkkonummi) to go there, but it is surely worth the visit. If you like the design of Helsinki Central railway station or the National museum, you'll love Hvitträsk. This is the place to get the full idea of the Finnish national romantic style... More

Hvittrask - so close to Helsinki, yet so silent and beautiful everywhere. Worth of visiting for a half day, have lunch or dinner at the restaurant - splended food. And at a warm summer day - take you swimming bath with you and try the most clearest water ever.

Extremely beautiful place by the lake. Also worth visiting the indoor premises and learn about the history of the house and persons lived in it.

Hvittrask is located outside of town a bit, but it is worth the visit. If you appreciate design, in particular, this should be on your hit list. It was one of the best things I saw during 3 days in the Helsinki area. This was the home and studio of three renowned Finnish architects for parts of their lives. It... More

A bit far from Helsinki, accessible best by a car. Nice place though, go on a sunny day. There is also a small beach down the hill, where you can swin if you are up to it.

This summer home is not only interesting for its architecture and history, but the lake just behind the house is beautiful!

We combined the museum visit with a cycling tour from Helsinki. You have a number of options to get there by bike, and you can have a different route for your return. The museum is a wonderful example of the neo-national romantism style in architecture, and the surrounding nature is absolutely great on a sunny summer day. There is a... More

Go here if you are interested in the Finnish architects Saarinen, Geselius or Lindgren. The houses are a bit out of the ordinary, the surroundings are beautiful and the interiors are special. And again, go on a guided tour of the museum if you have the possibility! There is a beach down by the lake, but some summers (with some... More
