We went on the Golden Circle Tour with Dooley, who was a nice, informative, and easy-going guide. Lucky for us it was between seasons, so it was only my husband and I on the tour! We had booked in advance and GTI took us on the day we booked even though their official policy is 4 people minimum --so we... More

We used GTI for four trips during our visit to Iceland. We had a great Golden Circle tour with Dooley (see separate review) which we enjoyed so much that we booked on the spot to do their Northern Lights Tour the same night. We were so lucky to see what was reported to be one of the best Auroras for... More

We did the Golden Circle tour with was great. We had a love dry (but very cold) day for it. The guide, Gummi, had lots of interesting stories and appeared to be very knowledgable about the area. We stopped at the main attractions, gulfoss, geyser, national park and some extras too including a stop to pat some horses! Their were... More

Took the South Coast Adventure tour on April 4, 2013 and it was a fantastic tour, the best I have ever taken. We were a small group and our guide took us to see the most amazing sites along the south coast of Iceland. He never rushed us while we spent time taking pictures and walking around the sites. He... I visited Reykjavik in March 2013 to see the Northern Lights. Out of the 3 tours I went on, GTI was the best because: - it was a small group of 15 people only - we could choose where we wanted to go and how long we wanted to stay out - the driver took good care of us and... More

We went with Dooley today. He was a great guide giving loads of interesting infonabout life in Iceland and about the areas we drove through. The weather was kind until the end. The highlight was Geysir - great that it erupted so frequently - we had time to take videos and photos. Awesome that steam was arising from the ground... More

I can only echo the positive statements made by other reviewers. The GTI staff was helpful, informative, accommodating ... thus guaranteeing that this was only our first trip to Iceland. If you're serious about northern lights, this company goes out only if the conditions are just right and the likelihood is very high of seeing a "show". Many companies go... More

We booked several day trips through GTI in advance of our trip to Reykjavik. They were super flexible in accommodating our desired agenda, and we greatly appreciated their consistent and clear communication before our trip. We knew exactly what to expect once we made it to Iceland. Once we arrived, we were thrilled with our city tour, led by Gummi.... More

We opted for a Gateway to Iceland minibus tour to see the Northern Lights on our first day in Iceland. We booked in advance and were told to wait outside our apartment. The minibus arrived a little later than expected but after that, everything was wonderful. Our guide was interesting and knowledgeable, telling amusing stories as we left behind the... More

Like most people visiting Iceland, seeing the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis is a priority and often a key reason for visiting this beautiful country. But then there is a big BUT, which is that this is a natural phenomenon and so no one can guarantee you will actually see it. In booking up a tour and deciding on an... More
