The gardens bordering the square is beautiful. Everyone likes looking at the stunning cars parked around the square (and dream of owning one). Drink a cafe and chill.
Tjis is the place to be seen. Watching the cars go by is something to experience. Stop and have a drink in Cafe de paris and people watch.
This is the perfect location to sit outside and just browse people coming and going to the casino. There are cars you've never seen before, people you might have seen before, and paparazzis and everyone else in between.
I liked the very unique cars and the beautiful building. I preferred it during night with less people. I did not like the 20 euros I gave for a tost at the famous cafe on the square...
The whole of the area is very quaint, nice shops, walking and lots of nooks and small areas to explore. The bad, most shops seemed to close very early. The casino area seems to take a while to ramp up, the night scene starts late and goes late. a bit of a lag in between. 99% tourists making an appearance....

Although most people visit in summer, Casino Square in Monte Carlo is unbelievable at Christmas time. I visited the first time during summer 1999, and although I was awestruck by the grandieur of the architecture and scenic charm of the Mediterranean blue coast, seeing Monaco and Monte Carlo all dressed up for the holiday is something I will never forget....
