Ordering tickets online is easy, boarding is in the city center - an easy way to travel between capitals. Not the cheapest way though, and honestly not too much to see along the river (and no information). We went in by boat, returned by train - a good compromise.

I would have given this a five but for the lack of relevant info on the web site. I booked on line and printed of tickets what I wasn't told was that these would have to exchanged at the ticket office, this caused us to lose our place in the queue. Be aware that you have to take your passports... More

From near the entrance to the U4 tube stop Schwedenplatz in Vienna, the Twin City Liner hydrofoil boats take 75 minutes to complete the 60 km journey to Bratislava . In good weather, there is room to enjoy the open deck at the back so it's not worth paying extra for the sun deck seats which, as the boat travels... More

Usually I always prefer to take the train when I can, but I just couldn't resist a boat ride up the Danube River from Bratislava to Vienna. Despite travelling at the weekend (peak time) the very comfortable hydrofoil was half full so I was able to move around on board and visit the onboard cafe without having to worry about... More

Travelled Brtislava to Vienna by Twin City Liner last week end. Its expensive, Euro 35 compared to Euro 7.20 by bus and takes more time than bus. They said they will serve light refreshments and souvenir but nothing was served. Journey is enjoyable with good views around and probably a good option with family and groups.

I was in Vienna and wanted to visit Bratislava, but was a little tired of travel. Too much time on planes and trains. :( My friend in Vienna suggested I take the boat down the Danube. I jumped at the chance. It very scenic to travel down the Danube. I think it was about an hour and a half there,... More

We originally travelled from Budapest to Bratisalva by train and then intended to go by train to Vienna, however ended up getting the boat and I'm so glad we did. The boat is a pleasant journey down the Danube and you get great views of Devin castle on the way as well as the hills in the background. The boat... More

The ticket salesperson screwed up the departure time (a German to English common mistake) which was bad enough, but then the weather was horrid. We didn't go. No refunds! Too bad, so sad. Learned my lesson.

Planned to do this, as an alternative to yet another train, from Vienna to Bratislava. The best thing about it is the central locations for both departure and arrival. Take the metro or tram down to Swedenplatz, and the Twin City hub is across the road. Vienna currently has a plethora of rail stations, and the central station has been... More
