Easy access... the metro stop is right across the street. Several nice restaurants. Very enjoyable and educational tour. The palace is beautiful. Don't get the Gold Pass unless you want to spend two days and include the zoo.
Very beautiful gardens. Lots of people but you can find places to sit with nobody else around. Bring a camera!
Plan to spend a lot of time touring the several floors of this spectacular palace that provides much fascinating information and family history on the Hapsburg rulers of Austria...The gardens surrounding the palace are simple, formal, elegant and beautiful.
Must see in Vienna! Fabulous castle with many tour options. Walk thru the gardens and all the way to the back of gardens to view palace to see grandeur and scale.
Within reasonable walking distance of the city centre, vast expanse of beautiful parkland with avenues of trees and fountains, a variety of great buildings - the palace itself, galleries, organgery, palm house, etc.
The palace is wonderful, and deserve a visit, and the gardens.... you could spend a full day in there. They are huge perfectly maintained and have a free access. You have to pay if you want to visit the funny maze that is very good for children.

For an American, it is a blessing to come home...
