Seemed to walk for ages, and as we finally got to the entrance, we were pretty sure our legs were going to collapse, but it all soon became worth it for the amazing and stunning views. The history of the castle ,add it a really interesting trip too!

Well worth a visit the views are amazing. Long steep climb to top but well worth the effort. people with walking difficulties may have to take it slowly but I managed with a very bad knee and was glad I did!!! Audio history available to take round with you and it gives you the full history of the castle from...

We chanced upon the Castle when driving aimlessly around Scarborough. We didn’t know anything about it and had not seen Brochure’s advertising it. I saw the ‘English Heritage’ sign and we enquired about entry. It was of course free as we were members. I did not fancy the walk up the hill, so asked if I could park inside. They...

I've been here many times and love it. I took my wife and 5 kids. It cost us £16 in total for our visit but we got that cash back as we decided to become 'English Heritage' members. The kids had fun from the moment we entered the castle, running around with their swords and shields (which we purchased from...

Beautiful views of both bays and also looking out to sea! £5 each to get in - spent about an hour so not great value for money but worth money just on views. Castle is ruins only but interesting to see - could do with more info boards spotted around site. Worth a visit
Beautiful to look at! Beautiful walk up to it, only to find its five pound each! very dangerous for young kids, glad mine wernt with me ... Rip offs! Scarborough is a very nice place do recommend!!!
Scarborough Castle splits Scarborough into two halves, North Bay and South Bay. From the Castle you get great views overlooking Scarborough. Here you are close to St. Mary's Church and the graveyard where one of the Brontes is buried. You are nearly in Paradise here because there is a road close by called "Paradise"
The free audio link provided on entry was most helpful and provided lots of information about the site. We went for tea and a snack, the food was gorgeous and fresh. The tearoom staff were very nice and cheery. With a reasonable entry fee and good weather the tour was well worth the money.
It is certainly an impressive landmark to behold from afar, but pay to go in, and I don't think that they quite do the history of the place justice
Magnificant ruin, shame you cant go up to the top! Great atmosphere & history. Staff were lovely. You can picnic in the grounds & theres a cool little playground at the bottom with picnic area too. Gets very blustery at the edge of the cliff so hold onto your hats! The pirate trail was disapointing, not very clear instruction &...
