Simply one of the best place I have ever seen in my life! Wood, sea, great view... And for the swimming lovers, very clean water.
Porto Selvaggio is a stunning nature reserve with stone beaches on the Ionian Sea. Having spent many years with the Dalmatian coast as my weekend get-away, my standards for beautiful coasts are rather high, and I was thrilled that not only does Porto Selvaggio have the pines, the cliffs, and the water, but also the scenic towers above you.
No lidos, wait service or lounge chairs here, just pine scented air and turquoise waters, sun and relaxation, this place is like it used to be. You might want to consider bringing water shoes, though, as it can be a bit rocky!
You better believe the reviews when they say it's a wild beach. It is beautiful and it is wild. You have to park your car on the road and walk about 1 km down to the beach through what seemed like a pine wood. Once you reach, it's rocky and, when we were there, the sea was stormy so the... More
if you are visiting the area, please be sure to spend a day at porto selvaggio, cross that park heading down to a marvelous sea....dont forget ur drinks and sandwiches as there are no bars or restaurants..... really beautifully wild!
Right in the middle of Porto Selvaggio natural park and wildlife reserve, this beach is one of the best in Italy and this year got again the 5 sails of Legambiente green association. If you decide to visit it please bring with you water and sandwiches because there is not bars or services it is only 100% nature.

we got out car opened and money and camera robbed. It seems to happen very often, but there is no police watching. The place is beautiful, but there is no real beach. Rocky cliffs and beautiful water. There is a small gay cruising scene and people are comfortable getting naked. Don't leave anything in the car.
The beach is really marvelous, but be very careful leaving your things in the car and on the beach. We experienced a rubbery of some of the stuff (camera, tomtom navigator, bag with documents) from our car parked along the road with other 500 cars. The police really couldn't do anything, as you might expect, but they made something to... More
The beach is very nice. The water has a very beautiful color but it is a little cold due to some sweet water springs. There is no sand but it is easy to find a spot where to put your towel. But what I liked more are the surrondings. If you like walking in a few minuts you can reach... More
