Before we went to Positano, we read about the Path of the Gods and searched online for a guide. We found Giovanni Visetti, who is a fantastic guide. He knows the path like the back of his hand, and is extremely knowledgeable about the flowers and herbs growing on the way (which we stopped to sample) but also told us... More

we did this hike by taking a bus from positano to nocelle (a 1.60 euro ride for us on the local sita bus, be sure to buy a ticket beforehand; we didn't - an Italian woman was kind enough to sell us one on the bus), and walking down the 1700 or so steps. when you arrive at nocelle, the... More

We disliked nothing ! It's well marked. We took the bus back to the hotel from the town it ends in. Taxi to the beginning.

Do not miss this rather easy hike (unless you start it in Positano and start with the 2000 stairs up to Nocelle). We started the path right out the door of the B&B we stayed at in Nocelle and hiked for 3.5 hours. Absolutely beautiful hike

I did the Nocello to Praiano part of the walk and it was simply spectacular. If you choose to walk this path (it is certainly easier than starting in Praiano - as you have to ascend rather than descend thousands of steps from that end) then follow these instructions: In Positano, stock up with water and snacks before buying your... We took this trip starting from bomerano (took the bus from positano where we were staying, to amalfi, then amalfi to bomerano. you should buy two sets of tickets in case you have to quickly catch the next bus to bomerano which we did. We were lucky because they only go every 1.5 hours). You can also travel by ferry... More

Walked from Bomero to Positano. Stunning walk and views. Relatively easy walk - just wear comfortable shoes. The steps back down to Positano from Nocelle are the hardest part - maybe do this part by bus!

An amazing walk with views for a god. Pack a lunch and spend the day taking your time walking along it, there's a great place to stop for a picnic lunch. Amazing!

I had been concerned about my fear of heights with this walk but would like to reassure anyone who is fearful that I had no worries at all. Stunning walk, not too strenuous and we with our aging knees even managed the steps down. We walk from Bomerano to Positano then caught the ferry back to Amalfi. Beautiful walk.

Take a bus to Nocelle...it's very easy. Go to the town square in Positano and look for the bus with the Read out Nocelle in bright red letters. The bus trip is about 20 mins (not for faint of heart) and Nocelle is the very last stop. Follow the pathway and look for the little handmade brown signs to show... More
