I'm not an avid fan of fresh bodies of water (rivers, lakes) I'm really a saltwater girl but the view and the power of Tinuy-an falls was just really breathtaking! Since visiting the place for the 3rd time and this was post-Pablo (the devastating typhoon that hit south-eastern Mindanao), most of the developments of the place had been washed away... More

3-4 tiered falls.Awsomely photogenic . How to get there: From Tandag, take a southbound bus to Davao or Butuan (about 1 hour) and get off in hinatuan town, then take a tricycle or any vehicle for hire to TINUY-AN falls itself.Spend and explore the place in one day.Fresh seafood can be bought around the resort.

Its my first time to visit Mindanao and I took the plane from Manila to davao just to get into this majestic place "The Tinuy-an falls in Bislig city, Surigao del sur. From the city, we opted to rent a motorcycle called the habal habal. We are all five riding in this motorbike including the driver, it was so fun,... More

It was year 1997, when I first visited the Tinuy-an Falls. I was born in Forest Drive Village, a small barangay, in Bislig City, so Tinuy-an Falls is just 30 minute ride from home. There was no bridge yet. We even had this bamboo, and empty gallons, that we used, for us to be able to cross the other side... More

I already saw Tinuy-an Falls four(4) months ago. Though I’ve already seen the majestic falls, I still felt the excitement seeing it once again. The bumpy ride doesn't bother me anymore. I was surprised when I saw wooden slabs laid on the ground where we had to step on going to the entrance as mud is everywhere. I don’t know... More

This place is a great gem of Surigao. Definitely worth the travel or the long ride. The nice thing about this falls is it's really quite powerful that alot of sprays of water are flying around the area. Definitely need a water proof cam if you ask me.

It was long ride to Tinuy-an Falls from Davao City. We left at 4am and arrived before lunch. It was a bit crowded when we arrived maybe because it was on a Saturday and yes its because many wanted to experince the splendor of Tinuy-an Falls. I was tired of the long travel but the falls made me forget the... More

This impressive waterfall is located in the municipality of Bislig, some 18 km off the main highway on a well maintained dirt road. There is no public transport going to the falls, so you need to come with your own car or hire a motorbike in Bislig (not a tricycle - it will not make the steep climbs!). The falls... More
