Solomon was a wonderful host, teaching us all about the different appelations of the region and the wine was wonderful. We spent three hours with him alone in a private tasting.

The "Cully Jazz" is a yearly festival, now in its 30th year, which takes place in the village close to the banks of the lake. They have great acts (we heard Monty Alexander for example) and the ambiance is festive and down to earth. We stopped at Les Freres Dubois as we got off the train in Cully -- it's just a few steps from the train station. The service was remarkable. We had the whole place to ourselves. We selected 3 wines each, and enjoyed them very much. This is a small winery, but the wine was quite good.
