I took my three year old grandson here (his choice) and we both had a fantastic time. We started with a wander round - good to see information about the animals on all the cages. Then after a quick go for my grandson on the soft play area (up to 12 year olds and at three he could manage it... More

I loved the range of animals and the owners really take great care of these animals. The information that is given is great and very educational.

We have just returned from a week in Goresbridge, a few miles from Gowran, and we went to the reptile village just for a look round. We were pleasantly surprised; we arrived just in time for the on-the-hour animal show which was a massive snake, iguanas, tortoises and a large spider. The girl who told you about these was very... We came across the Reptile Village by accident. It's a small but well run attraction and we'd recommend it for smaller children who may be interested in alligators, lizards etc. There are plenty of creatures to see and the staff bring out a different animal for the children to learn about and hold/touch (depending). There is a small jungle gym... More

After having a recent visit here, my son hasn't stopped talking about it. He has told all his friends and teachers - it really was an excellent outing and well recommended. The staff were so good with him, answered all of his million questions! After chatting with him and finding out his love of turtles she brought him a snapper... More

We visited the Reptile Village on and recent trip to Kilkenny. It was a very enjoyable couple of hours with the family. The animal encounters is the best part of the trip with a member of the staff taking us through a number of different animals. My only reservation was I thought the entrance fee of €30 for a family... More

Took the kids (9 and 6) and they had a blast. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The chance to handles snakes / spiders was a bonus and even showed how little there is to fear. Kids bursting with questions throughout the walkaround and in the car afterwards.
