I'm not the biggest whiskey fan but thought it was worthwhile to stop in Bushmills for some food and to visit the Distillery. The tour is 40 minutes long and is presented by a tour guide that brings you around the distillery, showing you how they turn the raw ingredients into their famous whiskey. There's also a free drink at... More

Coming from Moray in Scotland I've been to countless distilleries on tours and although they are interesting, to be honest they are all much the same. This is a good starting point for doing the Causeway coast in a day, is reasonably priced and they provide a free sample at the end. I'm not a whisky (or whiskey) fan -... More

Really enjoyed this visit even though I don't like whiskey. Seeing firsthand how the whiskey is made was very interesting - the tour was through the working distillery. At the end of the tour there was an opportunity to sample the whiskey or a milder version of it with honey (or even a soft drink if preferred). I opted for... More

Have you asked yourself which whiskey distillery should you visit, this one OR Jamieson's? Having seen both now, I strongly urge you to take both as they are a perfect complement to one another. This tour is one of a working plant! Fully automated! You smell the whiskey being made at every stage...fantastic. The Jamieson tour give you more the... More

From the moment we entered the distillary we knew the trip was going to be very worthwhile. Entrance fee was good value. Our tour guide although very young had brilliant knowledge of the distillery and imparted all that knowledge to the group in a very professional manner. We now know everything about the process, the ageing, the barrels, the taste,... More

We visited on a Sunday, so part of the distillary was not operational, but it was still interesting. The guide, Jamie, was new, but very personable, knowledgable and lots of fun - especially when we discovered a locked door. I did wish more information was included. I'm a history buff and would have loved to learn how they made it... More

We absolutely loved this tour, as it was a genuine working distillery. We had done the guinness tour a couple days earlier, and were so disappointed, but Bushmills puts on a great tour. It was so interesting to witness the process, and to walk through, and witness everything being done. Also very interesting to learn the differences between Irish and... More

What a fabulous place to visit. So interesting - tour lasted about 40 minutes with a tot of whiskey at the end. The guides were brilliant. We had lunch in the cafe after our tour - very, very good steak and ale pie with veg, and mash. Excellent value. Even managed to take home with us Guinness chocolate cup cake... More

Jamie our tour guide was on day three of giving tours but you would never know it. His effortless and entertaining presentation of Bushmills history and products made for a very enjoyable tour. I highly reccomend this tour and that you pick up a bottle of the 12 year old stuff (only available at the distillery!) The end of the... More

We decided to stop and glad we did. Not that different from other distillery tours but definitely worth the visit. No pictures allowed but plenty of opportnities for photos outside of the tour. Of course the tour concludes with a sample in the bar area. It is unfortunate that we are not able to easily bring liquids back on the... More
