No temperature control b/c of the 3-4 feet thick stone walls? Baller!!! This was a fantastic stop on our ride from Radda to Florence. Very nice tour, wonderful wine and nice snacks. My mom, who hardly ever drinks wine, actually enjoyed this a lot. Only 5 Euro per person tasting. And obviously, you can have as much as you like.

This is one of the must do's when you are in Tuscany. The Castelvecchi is on top of the highest point in the area, a long winding road will give you rewards. Their wines are excellent, Sauvignon Blanc not a common wine in Italy is up with new world ones you find in Marlborough or Casablanca Valley. The reds are... More

Incredible view. Wonderful rooms and great dinning. We stayed for 4 nights and day tripped around Tuscany in the spring of 2011. It was wonderfull. Wine tasting with Vincenzo was perfect topped off with a great dinner. We bought 4 bottles of wine which created some weight issues on the flight home but it was worth it. I am now... More

A visit to the Vescine cellar on the premises of the Fattoria Castelvecchi is a must. Giovanni the winemaker is knowledgable and passionate about his wines. There is a good selection of cheaper, easy drinking young wines to more complex Chiantis. All the wines tasted were superb.

Me and my best friend found Vescine while riding on a Vespa around Chianti. We first stopped at the Il Borgo de Vescine, a hotel, where we did some wine tasting a bought 18 bottles of their excellent red prosecco. Virginia, the manager suggested that we visited the winery in Castelvecchi so we did. It was perfect! The young man... More

Was in Italy for 2 months and this was by far the most memorable. My wife and I still talk of it everyday and wish we were there. Vincenzo was great, the wines amazing, grappa was awesome and the beauty of this place was what I imagine heaven looks like... a la salute to Vincenzo and all the staff, we... More

This was the only winery to charge for a tasting and you only got to try 4 wines. I understand that its a big company, but when you are competing with 1000 other wineries that let you try all their wine for free its hard to go back to the one that charges 5 euro per tasting. The wine was... More

On tour through Tuscanny we staid at Viscine. There we met Vincenzo. We were lucky that he had the time to give us an extensive tour through the winery, explaining the process to make top wines. Vincenzo is incredible, he knows everything about wine and is very committed to making quality wines. After tasting the wines we were impressed by... More

We were in the Chiani area in May 2011, and we had a lovely visit at Vescine, from start to finish. After seeing the great reviews on TripAdvisor, I emailed to arrange a tour, and Andrea emailed me back promptly and was very friendly and accommodating to our schedule. When we arrived at Vescine, we were warmly welcomed, given an... More
