A short ferry ride to Watson's Bay takes you away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Sydney. A good hour of walking up the hiking trail (where the lighthouse is) if you are not that much into the beach. Complete your day with a sumptuous seafood dinner near the ferry pier, watching the sun set. Great day out for... More

Watson's Bay is about 30 min drive from the city (Sydney). The reason why i keep coming back is to have a nice seafood lunch at Doyle's restaurant .They served the best, freshly catched fish of the day. People are going to Watson's Bay to dine at Doyle's and have an enjoyable walk along the coastline or the best walk... More

If you want to spend a cool day, take the ferry to Watson Bay! You will arrive around a little beach with a few restaurants, then you can start the coast walk for about 2h and cross a few beaches and scenic spots.

highly recommend spending a warm sunny afternoon on the verandah at Doyles enjoying fine Australian wines and the best seafood on the planet. I came 5000 km to eat here and it was worth every km.

Took the ferry to watch the Sydney to Hobart races on Labour Day. Went for a hike along the rocky coast. Bring your camera; took some great photos. Had lunch at Doyle's. Great day!

The start of the walk and right to the top of the walk is great. The views are excellent every which way you look. There are also some great plants on the way to the top of Watsons Bay walk. There is a water cooler just near the zebra crossing so fill up your water before you go. The kids... More

Forget the expensive harbour trips , take a ferry ride to Watson's bay for a fraction of the price and have good seafood on the pier . This is take away but you still sit at seats with great views. Visiting Sydney you must do this !

Something for everyone at Watson's bay. A pub with lots of outdoor seating and good food. A walk to the lighthouse if you feel energetic, a nudist beach if you're feeling daring and fish and chips at a famous take away if you're hungry.

A scenic view from the Gap or over the harbour. A few different places to eat for a range of budgets.
