We headed here on a sunny afternoon. It takes roughly 30 minutes to get there by bus which is $5.60 each way. By the time we arrived it was overcast and we couldn't see a thing. Disappointed we didn't get to admire the view.

The view of the city was awesome at night. Very clear night, so great view of all the lights. Well worth a visit.
Wow, viewing the Brisbane skyline from Mount Coot-tha Lookout is a must. My last visit was on an overcast day but I could still see the sandhills of both Moreton and Stradbroke Islands in addition to every growing city skyline.
This excellent lookout is very handy to the city and can be accessed easily by the local bus service (No. 471). The views are sweeping over the entire Brisbane CBD and southern and western hinterland. There are also several walking trails radiating from this point but we didn't go there to walk. What any traveller to this site must do...

Great view, went up at 7pm. The road is dark but the view is great. It was very cold in April and left after around 30mins. Recommended to go in night and day for diff views
The views are great at Mt Coot-tha, but often getting a car park is difficult. Once you are there, there isn't a great deal to keep you there for long. If you get a car park and you're prepared to spend time and money at a cafe there, you may spend longer than 10 minutes there.
Every time someone new comes to Brisbane, Mt Coot-tha Lookout is one of our first pit-stops. Heading up there at night is always a nice treat for some sight seeing and a good coffee or ice-cream.
The view was fabulous. Food at cafe nice but a bit expensive. Parking is limited. Some under cover dining.
yep, its a good lookout spot if that is what you are after, can get a good view of brisbane. not something the kidos cared about but good walks nearby that they enjoyed
Photographically possibly;y better than Mt Cootha as it is easier to get in closer for those shots .Check the time of day for the lighting as later afternoon may have too much shadow on the city . Then again the afternoon light on the buildings could be a winner .
