I haven't been to Westend in years and I was really pleasantly surprized. It has now got alot of interesting shops and a great variety of restaurants. It is worth having a look at and spending a few hours even just sitting and people watching.

West End has always been very multicultural and, despite being across river from Brisbane CBD, it has retained it's character. Great little cafes & restaurants, op shops and not too much redevelopment.

West End is a alternative funky little area located near southbank. There are endless shops, cafes restaurants, street performers, pubs and the biggest pool hall ive ever seen. I highly recommend a coffee at either 'the three monkeys' or 'the gun shop cafe'. The service is always impecciable, polite and friendly.
