The Gabba Cricket Ground will be easily recognised by sports fans as one of crickets most famous arenas. But when crickets stops the AFL (Aussie Rules Football) takes over, go cheer on the Brisbane Lions in a cross between rugby, handball and wrestling! Great fun and cold beers too!

One of the best sporting venues I have ever been to. You can watch the Bulls for free and the Lions for under $30 dollars. Take your own picnic lunch as the food and drink prices are extremely high. Free public transport is included in your entry price.

Great facility and easily accessible. Wonderful Brisbane City Council bus service from several spots in the city for main events. Watching a test match here is always a delight!

Enjoyed our day at the cricket, just a shame about the actual game on the day. Atmosphere was excellent, our seats a great vantage point.

The Ashes were at the Gabba in January 2011 after the Brisbane Floods. It was a great atmosphere and proceeds from the ticket sales went to the Flood Appeal.

The Gabba is a very good cricket stadium, the food and drinks were reasonably priced and easy access from all areas. However the signage to get to the upper areas is limited but the ushers are very helpful. We went to a day night international, free transport on buses and trains. Only a 10 min walk from Southbank. I recommend... More

This stadium is a world class facility- I have been to sports events world wide and the Gabba is up there with the best of them. There are no bad seats in the house but would recommend that if its a daytime event choose the Western side for shade.

If you want to watch AFL then this is a good venue, but from a cricket perspective the ground no longer has the charm it once had. Unfortunately redevelopment was inevitable because of football. Food is expensive at the ground so think about this. Also, car parking can be a problem but you can catch public transport which is good... More

This really is not like a cricket ground should be like. More akin to a football stadium. Despite that the atmosphere is great. Catering is standard fast food but OK. P
