The historical museum in Cairns is really a highlight during a visit in Cairns. The collections of various subjects are exhibited and put together with a lot of taste. The visit is very informative and interesting, in addition the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

We spent about an hour here on a rainy day. Only $5 per person for entry. Good value and some interesting things to read about and see.

A very interestjng and informative museum with lots of old items to view. We spent a good hour reading about the war years and how the local people endured the war. Interestjng info re the aboriginals but would have liked more. A good exhibition thanks to the volunteers who turn up to open this daily.

We spent a very interesting 2 hours at the museum. Our guide Cliff is so passionate and knowledgable. Right in the heart of the city, lots of interesting information on Cairns, I love the photographic archive. Small enough not to take up to much time on a Cairns visit and cheap entry price.
