We took an organised trip to the Great Barrier Reef from Port Douglas. The company we booked with had its on permanent pontoon at the outer reef. They provided all the snorkelling gear and what an amazing experience it was. Among its many attractions, the vibrancy of the coral, the amazing sealife and the seaturtles frolicking about without any seeming... More

What a fantastic day out. The cruise out to the reef was good bit bumpy and windy but good. I missed morning tea while trying to organise the helicopter ride that was a little disappointing due that I saw staff with cakes :(. Once out at the pontoon the chopper ride was great best way to see the reef!!! Bit... More

My spouse and I travelled to ReefWorld in late August 2012. We reserved our excursion on-line and via e-mail a few weeks prior to our arrival on Hamilton Island. We opted to take the helicopter out to the pontoon and the ferry back to Hamilton Island. Our total package was about $400 per person. If you take the ferry both... More

My partner and I went out to the reef yesterday and I have to say I was disappointed overall. I have been snorkeling and diving in Thailand and I have seen much better marine life, it cost $210 per person and this included the trip there and back, all snorkel equipment and lunch. I have to say the lunch was... More

Not being a swimmer I had my concerns when we chose to check out the Reef from the pontoon, but the whole experience went 'swimmingly!' Very professional and safety conscious, while it was a long boat ride to the pontoon, when we arrived everything ran like clockwork. The place was not 'packed' with people, there were stinger suits we were... More

My husband and I took my parents for a trip to reefworld and went for the reef sleep experience, which is where you sleep out on the pontoon for a night. From the minute we checked in, our host Nina was absolutely fantastic and made us feel like VIPs right up until we left the following day. I don't think... More

put 350 people on a small pontoon and what do you get? Average experience is the answer.....try snorkelling in your pool with ALL your family and that is the way it was today. TOO MANY people there.... all about the money and costs yes but word of mouth will keep those I know away because the cost was way way... More

We started off early and headed out to the reef. Weather was a little overcast at first and a number of people got sea sick but the crew were well equipped. We arrived at Hardy reef and were met with a number of fun options, from the submarine tour of the reef to snorkelling and the viewing deck. The highlight... More

We left from Hamilton Island Marina and had a two hr boat ride to Reef-world. There was morning tea and lots of different activities to choose from. We signed up to a beginners scuba. Tis was awesome!! Lunch was provided and there was afternoon tea on the way home too. On Reef-world there is a observation area like an aquarium... More
