Great atmosphere, great exhibits, lots of information and a treat for all the family. Had a working railmotor (Bluebird) operating on the day and that was fun to watch and travel on.

Very large indoor area's to see many old and big train engines and carriages. Great display of history with the engines and see the old ghan and old overland carriages with the sleepers. also a little train ride around the whole site for the young ones and the not so young. well worth a visit was impressed by the size.

This was a great venue and a magical day for the children. The loved the train rides, meeting the Fat Controller, running around and exploring the displays and dancing to the the old time band. The food was well priced and the atmosphere was electric!

This is a large collection of historic trains and rail related equipment. Theres something to interest people of all ages here, including rides on steam trains and a large model railway. Great for kids on holidays, but busy.

I spent several hours playing with my Grand daughter as we rode the various railway carriages on our make believe journeys. She was fascinated by every aspect of the Museum and had a wonderful time playing different characters with me.

My kids (two girls aged 7 & 9) just love this place, and insist we return 2-3 times a year. Have a great time exploring the various old trains on display, and particularly enjoy those that you are allowed to enter and explore (which sadly isn't as many as we'd like). Is a great range of trains to look at... More

Some interesting locos and carriages on display most in excellent condition. Allow plenty of time as this a more expansive museum than we first thought. More of an enthusiasts museum, but there was enough to hold our attention despite having only a passing interest in trains. Some good interactive displays and a little train that does circuits of the complex.
