I lived in the area for a while many years ago and the beach was stunning then and it still is with the Myponga cliffs at the end of it. Worth the drive and if there are lots of places to stay.

So beautiful and the surrounding hills are a stunning backdrop. Long sandy beaches and many rockpools. In some parts it is quite a hilly climb back up to the road but there are ramps for those who can't manage steps.
A beautiful clean beach which stretches a long way. In summer you can drive on and leave your car on the beach while you have a family picnic. Has been an attraction for beachhgoers for more than a century! Port Willunga beach next door is also a scenic delight with the jetty remains and cliffs above.
Love long walks? The smell of the ocean? Clean, clear air? Pristine beaches? Well, your going to love Aldinga Beach then....

Each year friends and our family meet up for barbecues and brekkie to celebrate Australia Day on this beach. Love it! You can fill up the car and drive on - too convenient.
I have family nearby and its a great beach for kids and parents alike to visit. Being able to drive onto the sand means you dont have to worry about parking spots or lugging your gear for miles. Usually its pretty flat but great for littlies to run around

Glenelg might get the raves but this beach is amazing. Great for the family and you can drive down on the beach. Gorgeous views, clean water.
On a great day aldinga beach has the most glorious white sand and crystal clear blue water, on other days its just a regular beach that you are able to drive on to and isn't too over populated (EXCEPT for public holidays like Australia Day where it is mayhem!!) Lovely part of beach.
