I love science works. My four year old son asks to go there and as we are members, we go often. I especially love the carnival of science exhibition at the moment, which explains the science of circus and carnival tricks. You can lie on a bed of nails, run through a maze of mirrors and all sorts of other... More

Scienceworks is a great way to keep the kids entertained for a couple of hours. Every display is interactive which makes it fantastic for inquisitive minds. The kids (3,6,8) absolutely loved walking around seeing how things worked. The staff were really nice and helpful. The sports exhibit was great however was overrun by several school groups, so be prepared for... More

The Science Museum is a favourite with the dads because it is full of gadgets that make noises and go 'whirrr!' The kids love it too. And there is a coffee shop for mum should she want to escape and take a few quiet minutes for herself. It is located over the West Gate Bridge and to the left about... More

My daughter had a great time playing with all the exhibits. I would recommend trying to visit on a day when school excursions aren't booked in as it was PACKED! The place is a little dated and a few things are broken, but still educational. The cafe is overpriced, so if you are on a budget maybe pack a lunch.... More

A great place to take the kids for a day out. It's free for kids and you can bring a picnic lunch so it's a cheap and educational day out as well as very entertaining for the whole family. My kids even enjoy the pumping station and the history part of it.

There's always plenty to see here and a great variety of displays to hold one's interest. Check out the old Pump house nearby.

Our first time to Scienceworks with toddlers. I guess they are a bit young for the learning aspect, but had fun treating the exhibits as a playground. It's relatively cheap, so not complain there, but some of the displays are a bit dated and some not working. If you want to see the better displays be prepared to pay extra... More

This is a great place to take kids to learn about science. Some of the exhibits are a little worn due to their interaction with the public, nonetheless a good place to go. In particular woth checking out is the Planetarium (check the show times online) and the lightning room .

Took Masters 7 and 4 and although they have different interests there was enough there to meet all their needs. Lots of interactive activities and social play areas. Planatiarium was a bit much for the youngest as the show goes for too long for his attention span, but did love it for the 30 mins we stayed in there.

This is good for kids but after 3 visits I have not been back as its the same thing every time . They have not changed anything in tenders here and we are all sick of it. In the summer it is good outside so bring lunch to eat on the grass
