Very interesting place with a helpful visitor center where visas, flags, currencies, stamps etc can be bought...! Absolutely worth visiting and debating about what makes a country a country :)

Bullara station stay is for all ages not just families or couples it’s also across all ages. John makes a damper each afternoon tells station history and his connection with the family. Next morning big fluffy scones and coffee can be purchased 2 scones 2 coffee $19. This is the only time you can go into the front garden of the homestead. A Kangaroo hopes around a few sheep are chilling there’s powered n unpowered sites but you can hook up to their water. There’s a number of showers one is the donkey another where a whole family can go together and just a normal shower. We based ourselves here and went exploring. Definitely worth a visit even if it’s just for the damper n scones recipe on the tea towel.

We stayed at the camp ground very basic (but cheap) toilets and camp kitchen available. Worth spending time to walk through the province buildings etc.
Loved that staff stayed around for our arrival after hours to make sure we were safe.
Remote.. Quiet.. everything you want for a little piece and quiet in the bush.

The road in may be gravel but is well maintained and my Getz had no problems arriving safe. This place is amazing.
Once at Principality of Hut River - 1970 Independent Sovereign State, you will be amazed by the history of when, why and how this came about.
How the government has recognised it over the years but continues to do battle with H.R.H. Prince Leonard and his family. I have always felt he was a highly intelligent man but he also has a surprising mathematical mind.
If you want to see an Aussie battler history this is the place to visit.

Amazing place to see and experience , founded by former H.R.H Prince Leonard and it has its own flag and government office . We met him and he showed us his collection of passport and stamps and gifts received from heads of states around the world .
It's one of the memorable experience I have ever felt in my life .

We missed this place on our last trip up North but got there this time. It's just as everyone says - quirky and wonderful! We were greeted by the lovely Prince Graeme and told the history of the Principality (bring your passports to be stamped - I will never be forgiven for forgetting ours!!). You only need about an hour to explore but don't leave it there; PHR has awesome camping!!! Mid-school holidays we were one of only three sets of campers in huge grounds. There's a communal cooking area, water, and a hot shower and toilet block. Only $5 each!!! Can't rate highly enough. Thanks for a perfect final night of our holidays.

Didn't really know what to expect before stopping here, but it turned out to be a very unique and interesting place to visit. We were greeted by one of Prince Leonard's sons, who explained what it was all about and showed us some interesting items around the post office. You're free to wander around and explore the grounds and buildings, the chapel is nice. Prince Leonard is very personable and humorous and has many interesting stories to tell. The signs at the highway are small and easy to miss, so pay attention otherwise you may not see them.

Definitely worth the detour if that way but ensure of opening times. The history of when and why this became a Principality is really interesting and you can even get your passport stamped. Glad we done it and got pictures of the Prince.

We stopped by here on our way from Geraldton to Kalbarri. It's off the beaten track a bit, down a gravel road. A bizarre but interesting little place with some very interesting history. HRH Leonard and his son were there to explain the history. The smaller kids (8,6&3) were not too interested but it was a lot of talking and a lot to take in so that is understandable.
There are toilets available on site as well as drinks and souvenirs to buy. If you have the time, it's worth a visit to this unique little place

Fascinating visit to Hutt River Principality.

In 1970, Leonard Casely & his family seceded from Australia & became their own micronation .... lots of legal arguments ensued, which continue to this day, especially with the tax office ....

They are their own Royal Family ... HRH Prince Leonard, 92, abdicated earlier this year & handed over to his son, Graeme. I was fortunate enough to meet & chat with both.. I love eccentric, quirky people, with a passion !!
Along with stamps & currency, they also issue visas & citizenship. Prince Leonard says he has travelled to Europe many times on his Hutt River Passport !

Take your passport and for a small donation, you can get it stamped with an entry and exit visa !!
