If you stay in Perth you MUST take some time to come and visit this Park. If you are in Perth CBD the free BLUE cat bus will take you there in less than 15 minutes from Elizabeth Quay (you can take the bus in front of The Bell Tower or at the Bus Station). If you stay near the University, then take the free PURPLE cat bus. Walk along your preferred pathway and surely you will reach a lookout point, from which you will have an amazing view over Perth CBD. If you are interested in history, you will find war memorials in different areas of the park that will make you understand the role Australia (and in this case the people of Perth) had in the different conflicts around the world. And if you love science, well, a stop at the DNA Tower is absolutely compulsory. You love BOTANY, instead? In this case you are in HEAVEN. There is no other world to describe it. Amazing was to see how they recreated in the flowerbeds around the park all the different habitats of Australia's main plant species. From 9 to 17 you can walk as well over the Federation Walkway and see the amazing trees from above. I do think a day is not enough to fully appreciate this park, so when you need a break from the city, just head over to this park and enjoy its relaxing atmosphere.

In that Australia was founded on “convict labor”, the Franmantle Prison tour is a must while visiting Western Australia! The 2 tours that we attended while there were extremely informative about the origins of Australia and prison life of the time. Being a history lover… and an employee of a NYS maximum security prison, I found the tours very interesting! I would recommend it highly… especially for 1st time visitors!

One of the most spectacular places to visit. The beach is divinely long and wife and clean and worth walking on. Sunset is special here but she is sun rise and all night and all day. Magnificent.

The Pinnacles are definitely worth visiting. We went to Jurien Bay for the weekend and on our way back to the city we stopped at the Pinnacles and we’re glad we did! We had the whole place practically to ourselves and saw around 5 Emus and a lot of kangaroos.I hear the best time for taking pictures is dawn and dusk so next time I want to do some star gazing. This place is magical

All Capital Cities with a river offer the same but here in Perth the river area around the city is improving all the time with river and sea cruises and even a bank to bank cruise which we really enjoyed

Jewel Cave is the best display of limestone formations in a single location that I have visited. Our Guide , Tony, was expert and enthusiastic making our experience even better.

So it’s a bit of a drive from Exmouth.. maybe 35-40 mins..but the beach is well worth going to..
Parking is close to the beach, and the blue of the sea is really blue..
To the left of the beach is the drift snorkel, which I did a couple times. There is a good lot of coral here , and lots of fish life.
The main part of the beach is Sandy, and slopes gently.
I also snorkelled the main beach and saw a couple turtles and some blue spotted rays.
On a bad day, the flies can be horrendous..

It was a brilliant day. Worth the drive down. The train is fun but walk if you have the time and energy. The underwater observatory is fantastic and the guided tour very informative. Snorkeling is a must the schools of fish and stingrays. We also saw a dolphin!

What an amazing place. Location is special and beautiful. You get a soldier's card from WWI. You learn about him and others as they tell a the story visually and audibly. A must stop. We're so glad our cruise ship stopped in Albany.
