This had been highly recommended but we didn't actually make the walk - we drove for approximately 30mins / 8-10kms on TERRIBLE, rough gravel roads and still hadn't reached the start point. Turned around for fear of damaging our 2-wheel drive vehicle. Poorly signed.

The walk took our group three hours return and was of medium intensity. The views at the summit were spectacular and worth the effort. Wear good shoes and take ample water and sun protection as it can get hot walking at this time of the year.

The drive is about 30 minutes on a dirt road and there are not so many signs. At the beginning is a picnic spot and information about the area. We just did the "river" walk, which takes 30-0 minutes and offers a lot of wildflower-views. Unfortunately the other walks were´t exactly described, but seemed to be much more difficult.

Lovely undercover area for a picnic, also a wooden table and chairs to sit on. Lovely walking trail crosses over a bridge and part of the Denmark River then upwards towards Mt Lindesay. Easy walking trail for those who are energetic.

I enjoyed a fabulous walk here on a damp day. The Mt Lindesay picnic area is a bit of a drive north of Denmark, and part of the access roads here are gravel. There's a picnic area with minimal facilities (picnic table, drop toilet). It had rained overnight, and showers were looming, so I had to be careful on the wet granite halfway up - there are some tricky stretches when its damp. I still managed to leg it up to the summit in only 70 minutes, so in most cases I'd suggest allowing at around 3 hours for the return trip. At the summit the heavens opened and I got caught in a big downpour, so needless to say the way down was soggy. I was glad to have some trekking poles with me as I made a cautious descent over the wet rocks - these can be very slippery in places, but for me it just added to the challenge. A brilliant and rewarding walk nonetheless, with expansive views. To make the experience complete, I also surprised a few kangaroos on the way up. Great location and wonderful hike!

Did this a few days ago, with 3 children under 8. No problems there (although we did not do the "mountain" summit). Fantastic wildflowers even this far into summer. If you love your walks or the bush this is a must. Take water and some snacks.

National park. No animals. This is a great walk with spectacular views at the summit but it is not a gentle outing. Pack water, a snack, sun protection and if there is any chance of inclemency, keep in mind that it will be cooler, windier and more exposed as you get higher. On one of my trips, if I hadn't found some gloves in my backpack I would have had to turn back. Allow three hours of walking time. Highly recommended for the reasonably fit.
