As said, we hadn't planned to do this! It was a beautiful day 28 Jan 2013, and we decided on the spur of the moment. We took the Floatplane tour 'Mt Tarawera/Waimangu volcanic valley. Angela our pilot was informative and generally made you feel she cared about what she did and the area itself. Would recommend.

Wow, what fun! The take off and landing on the water was unlike anything else and our 30 minute tour around the Rotorua area was educational and beautiful. What a scenic experience, would love to try a helicopter trip one day.
