The walk from Evans Bay up to the top of Mount Victoria and the views out over Evans Bay and to the south as you ascend are magnificent, then when you get to the top, you get a 360 panorama that would have to be one of the best views of the Capital without leaving the city. Highly recommended

Great views over the city and surrounding harbour. Good to get some exercise after too much indulging!

Did not know about this and was taken there by very kind New Zealander. Would have missed this as we did not see any information about it but its spectacular 360 degrees views should not be missed. Also boards displaying useful information including details on the tectonic plates.

The Top of Mt Victoria is well worth making the effort to drive up. It is a very popularplace with a lot of visitors the day we were there. There are great panaramic views around Wellington especially on a fine sunny day.

Wonderful views and a multitude of easy to medium walking tracks to keep you entertained for hours. There are also Lord of the Rings filming locations to be found if you're willing to use your imagination.

A bit challenging in parts but just beautiful all the way up and great views of city on top. Also some informational signs that give background on history and earthquakes, etc.

Get up here and take in the surrounds of Wellington - just incredible! A great vantage point too to see the jets arriving and departing from Wellington airport - it really doesn't feel like the runway is long enough when you see them coming in! Awesome photo opportunities of the city and beyond.
