This was a great stop to stretch our legs and take in the views of such a beautiful lake. Stopped at the visitor centre which was closed at the time however the toilets were open. Nice place for a picnic.

The ever changing face of Lake Pukaki had us anticipating each day what it had to offer. With the backdrop of the snow-caped mountains it was a photographers delight.
Definitely recommend anyone stopping here for a photo opportunity. Just breathtaking!! You can see Mount Cook on a clear day.
What an incredible color, you have to see Lakes Tekapo and Pukaki if you're going to NZ, that's just an highlight!
the place was pretty and relaxing. We dipped our feet in the water and it was so much colder than expected
We stopped by on the way from Mt. Cook to Christchurch. Took many amazing postcard photos of one of the bluest, most beautiful mirror lakes reflecting the Mt. Cook white capped mountains. Everyone who saw our photos of it, had an image of this type of beauty when they though of New Zealand. A must see!
Lake Pukaki is gorgeous. We "freedom camped" on the shore, and endured a roaring storm! It was exciting and beautiful at the same time. Really enjoyed the smoked salmon we purchased, and had a terrific first night in our Wilderness campervan!
The blue of the lake just has to be seen - the effects of the glacier. The small church at the bottom of the lake is well worth a brief stop. The setting is spectacular.
We drove past Lake Pukaki on our way from Lake Tekapo to Mt Cook and decided to make a quick stop which turned out to be longer than we expected it to be! The views from the lake was beautiful, it is a great place to stop or awhile, take a breather, and enjoy all the sights.

Incredible view up the lake to Mount Cook! Was lucky to catch it on a clear day at sunset. The sun reflecting off the snow was brilliant!
