This beach is perfect for everyone ranging from families to the surfer. The weather in this part of the world is just perfect and the water temp really is below 22 c .
Just beautiful here with nice sand and turquoise sea color! Nice place for surfing and relaxing as its not crowded at all!
Just south of Surfers Paradise is Currumbin Beach. There is a rocky headland and on one side its sheltered on the other is open to the ocean. Bathing is allowed on the sheltered side, where the Lifeguards are based and honestly I can't recommend the place highly enough. There is lots of free parking as well a sheltered BBQ area.... More
We went as a group with a small child, everyone said their breakfast was very tasty except one who was disappointed with the omelet. I have been there a few time for breakfast, lunch & dinner and have not been disappointed. The outlook over the surf & beach is wonderful & very relaxing.
This beach has the best of both worlds. If the surfs too big then the river offers a relaxing place to chillout and swim.
What a gem of a spot. Hire a stand up paddle board from Leo at Currumbin Boatshed, paddle under the bridges to the inlet and have a swim in the clean, clear water. A coffee from the little cafe next door to the boatshed and read the paper, a truly beautiful way to spend a few hours!
Nice place to swim with no crowd on the beach and waves can be massive when swell is up!! There is also a surf museum and a wildlife sanctuary where you are able to see koalas, kangaroos, a huge variety of birds, reptiles etc...This is definitely a place to relax and have good time as I did.
