Really enjoyed our bike hire which we did the day after an over-long walk in Abel Tasman NP so it was a nice rest for our feet too! The routes are wonderfully flat and the bikes are really good quality. We had some issues with the maps but you'd struggle to get lost and the cycle tracks mean that you... More

We had a great afternoon cycling around the wineries. Rose was wonderful, and had well maintained bikes as well as safety gear. She had a map to strap to the handle bars that was all laid out with cycle tracks and places to see. The paths we took were all fairly level, so no strain at all. We would highly... More

Nelson is a neat place to cycle in with many trails, etc., and Rose is a sweetheart and helpful host. If you're planning on renting a bike for sightseeing and exercise, go for it. In our opinion though forget the wineries and do a brewery tour if you're into that. The wineries are few and hard to get to. Do... More

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts in a review. Nelson is certainly becoming a really popular cycling area. Our cycling routes are based on and around the Great Taste Cycle Trail and the Wine and Beer route is our most popular route for folks wanting a half day or full day ride. The 2 craft breweries are... More

We stayed in Nelson and we were picked up and brought home later for a very reasonable fee of $10 per person (cheaper than any taxi and more convenient than public transport). The cost of renting the bikes was very reasonable. We got a little lost at the beginning of our ride but as soon as we got onto the... More

Friendly host with plenty of local knowledge. Bikes are either 7 or 21 speeds. 7 speeds are all nice Giant commuters and the 21 speeds are Avanti's. Bikes are very well maintained and you are provided with locks, helmets and puncture repair kits. Route maps are very well done with highlights not only of vineyards but also local craft shops... Very friendly service with love to detail and good local advice. Very modern bikes too. Nelson is great for cycling, very worth while to explore by bike. Only thing that can be improved is longer opening hours for drop off, 5pm is a bit to early in summer and cuts day too short.

We decided to hired bikes to explore the wine area around Nelson and it proved to an excellent decision. Rose was really helpful supplying advice and maps plus all the requirements needed to be safe - helmet, high vis jacket, bike lock, puncture repair kit, and a choice of 21 or 7 speed bikes. The bikes were all in excellent... More

We were invited to go out for the day on a bike ride and to have lunch in a winery. I'm not an experienced bike rider so was a bit apprehensive but I should not have worried, Rose picked us up in Nelson and drove us to where we'd get fitted up for our bikes, she returned us to Nelson... More

Rose and her company outfitted us with appropriate bikes, helmets, safety vests and maps then turned us loose in the wine country outside Nelson to explore on our own. We leisurely cycled from winery to winery enjoying chatting with a few owners and tasting the local wines. We lunched at the Moutere Inn with the locals and smapled the local... More
