The zoo is really great. Pity it is closing after 6p.m. Nearby area is fanastic too. There is a palace, big park for skating, biking, rollers etc.

This Zoo is the best one I have ever visited in Europe which a huge selection of animals in great animal friendly enclosures. The highlights for me are the big cats, gorillas, lemurs enclosure and elephant valley. You can quite easy spend the whole day here and for 200 CZ ($10) it's well worth the money.

The zoo is large with a nice variety of animals and many attractions (feeding time, petting yard etc.). If the weather is good, you would enjoy a nice day there. We were not sure what to expect but we were extremely impressed with the zoo and would recommend it. The best part for me was the polar bears swimming on their backs to entertain every one watching(at least I think they were doing it for us but they were really enjoying it )
