Time does appear to stand still here until you get jostled by other tourists like yourself. Wonderful buildings, cafes abound and lots to amuse the eye.

We did a walking tour and had a terrific guide who enjoyed sharing the history of her city and this came across It was warm so have good walking shoes and water Really enjoyed this
TIP- do visit the Rynek Underground Museum under the Cloth Hall FIRST before you go visit the churches and Wawel Hill as the movies there provide a great history lesson that will be helpful before you go see the major tourist sights. We saw the movies at the end of our trip and wished we saw them at the beginning...

Quite well pedestrianized extensive town centre with tons of history, a huge and lovely main square and lots of offshoots with restaurants and cellar bars. Architecture and history are all around.
Needless to say, like every historical center of the major cities of Eastern Europe also the historical center of Krakow is the pure essence of art.
A city rich in history that offers a fascinating journey into the historic center.
I was very impressed by the beauty of the buildings but also is a lively city, even at night especially...

The old town is beautifully preserved and full of interesting sites and sounds. The main square is a great place to linger on a sunny day and balmy night people watching. During our stay there were several events taking part in the square which seems to be valued by local people as well as tourists.
You will genuinely be spoilt...

Such an amazing square with wonderful restaurants and jazz music. Highly recommend. We found the prices to be very inexpensive (compared to the British pound). We enjoyed our time in Krakow city but this area was by far our favourite.
Been twice to Krakow and both times in summer. Love the place and the main square on a summer evening there are few places better for having a drink with friends. Enjoy walking around the streets and want to go back to see more of the sites - castle, schindlers factory, Jewish quarter, etc. book it and GO!
Beautiful Old Town market square full of interesting shops, sites and friendly people Pick up the freewalkingtour.com tour from outside St Mary's everyday at 11am and 3pm
First things first: you need much more than 2 hours to see it. It's fantastic, but sometimes a bit claustrophobic place, where you meet real history, you see how people lived in Cracow past ages. I advice taking guided tour, especially if you are interested in history
