We have taken many classes in the park with the Institute over the last 5 years. The classroom is the park and the location is where the subject matter is, be it wildflowers, photography, geology, birds of Glacier, bears, etc. This is a perfect, fun, hands-on way to see and learn more than the average tourist, about the Crown of... We took this trip in late June and it was the first day they opened the Park to the public, because of snow on the roads. It was gorgeous, mountains, mountain goats. Beautiul lakes and valleys. We did not hike but took the"roadto the sun". The town outside of the Park is beautiful. We also on the way out of... More

Adventurers or folks who just love to view scenery, will love this magnificent park. There are many wonderful hotels/lodges for accommodations. My group stayed at the Glacier Park Lodge. It was lovely however, very difficult for those us who have a problem with stairs. There was no elevator. We enjoy a wonderful boat ride and sightseeing throughout the porch in... More

A beautiful park with mountain scenes, beautiful lakes, and vista's that will leave you with wonderful memories for years to come. I especially liked photographing several lakes within the park, and there is a great opportunity to create a panoramic photograph at Login's Pass. We were there for two days and it wasn't nearly long enough!

I have been to Glacier National Park over 20 years and every visit feels new to me. I have visited many National Parks in the US but Glacier has to be my favorite for the mountains and feel of nature. Also there are fewer people at the park due to its location. Going to the Sun road is unlike any... More

Traveling around in the USA, this is one of the most beautiful places in United States. If you're looking for a really wild nature, animals, go there! One of the most beautiful roads I've ever seen - you're driving thru waterfalls!

This park has beautiful mountains, glacial lakes, great hiking. Go in the summer as the main road through the park (Going to the Sun Road) is closed in the winter. The road opens sometime in June and closes usually sometimes in September. Check the park website for updated information on this. The drive through the park is right through the... More

Visiting our National Parks is a blessing. They are clean, pristine and good for your soul and mind. The rocks in the lake are kaleidescopish! Purple, pink, green, yellow, blue...so interesting and clean/clear! Witches Hair cascading from trees, Squirrels scrambling. Nature lovers to and fro doing their smiley thing cross country skiing or simply taking a walk. All happy to... More

This (I warn you) is a love letter to my favorite national park....it wasn't the first that I visited (I had previously visited Acadia, Arches, Badlands, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Rocky Mountain).... First, let me explain what I enjoy the most in a Park (these are my biases)....mountain scenery and great hiking....greens and blues and snow capped peaks... The 7th... More

wonderful views and hiking trails for all levels. we spent time sight seeing in the car, on foot, on rowboat, and on a sightseeing boat. while we did not see as many wild animals as Yellowstone or Yosemite, the views were just as picturesque. we did make plenty of noise on the trails, which is probably why we didn't see...
