Beautiful 60s building. Affordable performances, many geared toward children. High quality performances and much less costly than the ones in NYC. Easy to get to and plenty of parking if you drive.

Easy cab ride to get to the Kennedy Center, beautiful facility, lovely performance. Only complaint, not enough bathrooms, also, they were not very clean.
Every night there is a free show at 18:00 - I went to see one of these, what a lovely way to spend an evening. Just make sure that you get there early and be prepared to queue for 30 minutes.
Showboat in the Opera Hall at Kennedy Center. What else can I say. The facility is spectacular, they make getting there from the metro a breeze with a very well run shuttle system, and the show was amazing. Sorry I won't be in town to see Anything Goes....
This is a building in need of some TLC, and the parking situation is maddeningly confusing. The KC Cafe is pretty reasonable, price-wise and the food ranges from average to very good. Parking is not cheap (park next door at Watergate) but really...

It made me want to dress up and see a show. We went up to the terrace and saw a beautiful view of the Potomac and the planes landing...

The place is extremely nice and classy. Love to go to there for events. You will love it too. Been there for a couple of events and enjoyed myself.
This night we saw Show Boat. It was another excellent performance. The music was great and the numerous actors and actresses were so talented! Another great evening!
We previously saw Sheer Madness which produced much laughter.
We took the metro to the Foggy Bottom metro stop. There was a complimentary shuttle to the Kennedy Center right there at the metro...

During a recent short visit to Washington DC I was fortunate enough to attend a performance at the Kennedy center. The National Orchestra presented Tchaikovsky's no. 4. The performance was two parts. The first was a multimedia presentation of what motivated Tchaikovsky to compose the symphony and the background emotions and events surrounding the writing of the specific movements. Two...
