This was a pleasant surprise for myself and my daughters as they were not to interested in going to a gardens but enjoyed it and thought is was beautiful. It is very well maintained and easy to walk through. The flowers and plants were super nice . You don;t need a lot of time unless you are really into learning... More

If you love beauty, you'll love visiting the Botanic Gardens. What a pleasant surprise! The flowers and gardens are just amazing. Plants and flowers you're familiar with as well as rare species and a "jungle". Expect a bad-hair day in the jungle area - very humid - but very well done. Don't forget your camera as there is no end... More

This was our first stop during a 5 day visit to Washington, D.C. and it was very pretty. The grounds at the garden were very clean, the variety of flowers were nice and the interactive areas made it even more interesting. There was a lady sitting outside enjoying her lunch in the beautiful garden area and I an see why.... More

You must see it!!! Not big but very interesting museum. Specially orchids part, was gorgeous. And as far as I know it is one of the oldest botanic Gardens in the States.

Beautiful and varied and a pleasure to walk through. We did have a problem with the audio setup they have, since we tried one of the codes and it was talking about the wrong place in the gardens. So we didn't bother trying again. We also thought the plant markings could have been better. But all in all it was... More

Amazing collection of plants and flowers from all over the world - very lovely location, and a bit less harried many of the other tourist attractions in town. If I lived here, I think I'd spend many afternoons sitting in the rose garden, or even in the water room. So lovely, so relaxing!

I stumbled on this fabulous garden during a recent business trip when I found myself with a few unexpected hours of free time. It is nothing short of glorious! As you wander through the indoor exhibits you are magically transported from one country to another, from one climate the another. As each door opens you enter enother "world" of flowers,... More

This was our second visit to the Botanic Garden and it was beautiful. All the orchids were blooming, hydrangeas were unbelievable, and the trees and plants outdoors green and profusely blooming. We spent about two hours wandering through everything and taking notes about things we'd like to try at our home in Florida. And, we'll be back next time we're... More

Gorgeous place. Take some time to read all the info, there is a wealth of information about health benefits and history of plants. If you can go around the holidays, it's decked out beautifully with poinsettias and lights with a train room for kids. There is also a great children's play area.

This was my second visit to the gardens, and the first in Spring. I highly recommend taking a stroll outside before venturing indoors. There are plenty of places, both in and outside, to sit and drink in the beautiful plants and flowers. On this visit, the staff had gone all out with hydrangea, so that the gorgeous blue, white, and... More
