We rented canoes, paddleboats and went hiking. Lots of fun but still has the same playground equipment form 35 years ago.

Me and my family love Chewacla during the summer. There is a really cool diving board in the lake that we challenge eachother to do tricks off of. My wife and I were married by the waterfall. This is a great place for a romantic date as well.
I'm a visitor from the northwestern U.S. and was looking for some trail running close to Auburn. Chewacla fit the bill. Lots of relatively well-marked trails. You can mix and match to get over 5 miles on trails 1 - 9. I also ran 12 and 15 another day. Pretty fun, but weird - you'll understand when you see the...

It is so nice to come here during spring, summer and fall! There is a lot of hiking/biking trails and places to swim. There is also a geocache which gives us a reason to explore the park more.
Great little state park. Hiking around the lake and through the park and mountain biking. There is a large pavillion area on top of a hill with great green space and nice views.
Admittance charge was $2 per person. Enjoy a very picturesque drive through the park. To get to the waterfall follow the road all the way straight through the park. You will get on a one way loop - there are no signs on the road that say "waterfall", but there is a sign noting a pavillion. Head towards the pavilion...

Didn't see much on the visit but the waterfall from the dam was very nice. Good photo ops! Will do more hiking another time.
Located near Auburn University this Park has excellent trails and very secluded setting. There is a trail that takes you to a waterfall. Great getaway from the busy Auburn scene. Dog friendly.
The hiking here is decent and the waterfall is very fun to play in and climb. The time before when we came I had about five kids and they played in the waterfall all day. They also enjoyed the high diving board. I rate this park as average because the changing rooms are horrible, and the swimming area is so...

We go often and hike down to the walls. It's always pretty-trails could be marked better but it's fun to make your own way down. Bring a sandwich and drink and hang out on the rocks. Nice and relaxing. Cheap to get in but probably not great for small kids.
