Great group of people who are doing something worthwhile! The educational tours are great and it is cool to hear about the successful rehabilitation's that happen because of the center.

Beautiful little spot tucked away by Clark's grocery store. Free entry (feel free to donate to their excellent work) and lovely grounds to walk around and admire nature at its finest. Some animals for you to look at, a lovely lake, viewing points to look out for wildlife. Great kids programs in the Summer months if parents need a little... More

Kids love to take the trail around the ponds and see the fish and wildlife. They have classes and knowledgeable staff.

I signed up for a group tour with ACES during the winter to see Aspen mountain from an environmental perspective, to try something new- I wanted a day off from skiing but still wanted to explore and try new things. It happened to be the last day of a very long nordic skiing competition which encompassed tons of miles and... More

Probably not the original purpose of the organization but has been reworked to convince the public that the age of the dinosaurs was a 100 million year fluke and the true temperature of the earth should be what's its been since man's been in Aspen. 20,000 years ago it was covered in ice. Then came the cars and now it... More

This was a wonderful guide that a few of my friends and i were able to do. Our guide was very informative. Remember to bring snow boots - they provide the snow shoes but you should wear snowboots and snow gear.

We did a snow shoe tour with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies and had a great time. The tour would be do-able for all fitness levels. The staff was very knowledgeable and the views were spectacular. This is a great way for the non-skiers/snow boarders (or those who wore themselves out their first day out) to participate in the...
