Antiquey, quirky, historical all rolled into one! This was an Opera House back in "the day". Up on the stage there are some fantastic historical pieces that were used back then. The owner was a very nice man who lets people go up on the stage to check things out and take pics! He has rooms full of antique store... More

I decided to stop by the Opera House after a succulent lunch at Slim’s. This place took me by surprise. It’s like Pandora’s Box. I spend quite some time looking at all the little details and I was really fascinated with the place. Take your time here if you decide to visit. This is a family-oriented place and you can... More

I just visited the Opera House in Arcadia, have never visited it before even though I have been in Arcadia many times. I liked the old stage equipment, the walls where the performers signed their names, old band instruments, it is like going back in time, the old wood smells, the creaking floors, the time worn stairs.

Wow..what can one say? The opera house has an incredible selection of junk/artifacts/antiques from yesteryear. For you LP or 78 collectors, it is a treasure trove. Happy hunting.

I have actually lived in Punta Gorda Fl. for about 27 years, which is only about 20 mins. away from Arcadia so we visit this shop frequently. It is by far our favorite antique store out of all the antique shops right there on Oak St. It is absolutely huge! The staff is super friendly and willing to work out... More

West Oak Street in Arcadia - You can almost imagine the horse drawn carriages driving down the road and ladies in bustled dresses strolling down the arcade to purchase some sundries or stopping by the Tea House for a spot of tea! There's just something about this place that brings you back to another time. The same is true for... More

My team The Southwest Florida Paranormal Researchers have been investigating the Opera House for reported paranormal activity since June of 2008. We have experienced being touched by spirits, we have seen shadow figures, recorded temperature drops from 87 to 69 degrees, we have recorded on video and digital audio numerous EVP's (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) and have even been called by... I visited the Old Opera House on Saturday, June 18. If you're not careful, you'll walk right past it. Go up the stairs and step back into the 1900's instantly. I wandered through the rooms full of interesting antiques. The creaky wood floors, the smell of old... I didn't want to leave. I wanted to look at everything. I went... More
