Very authentic...but I think the tourist industry has made all the medina workers and shop owners unpleasant/angry (because of all the picture being taken and tours)...so be prepared to get more frowns or "get-away" gestures, than smiles or casual expressions.

Do not buy from this carpet vendor! The salesperson and administrators actively misrepresent the origin and quality of their carpets. For example, our "100% natural, Moroccan hand-dyed silk carpet", "woven by destitute Moroccan widows in the Atlas mountains" and "worth over $30k" is not even from Morocco! It is... 100% synthetic, made in Kashmir (not at all Moroccan, no widows)... More

Get yourself lost and enjoy the experience walking through the bazaar, donkeys passing by, visit the tannery and stop by for a traditional morroccon tagine or couscous!

You can wander fascinated for days. Buy a map for 20p in any small shop. Often the stallholders will guide you to where you want to go, but don't hesitate to give a small boy 50p to guide out if you are lost. I would say the history & interesting features are hard to spot & I def think it... More

The fez Medina is quite the experience! The thing I loved was that it was a totally new culture for me. However, it was so hard for me because even when you say "no" people continue to harass you and try to get you to come to their store or restaurant. I had to tell one guy seven times that... More

Loved navigating the maze oh shop. The Medina is the oldest Medina in Morocco. . Visit the carper places to learn about the weaving and the quality. Offer them at least 50percent
