The park is beautiful a part of the forest has been enclosed. you can spot Takins everywhere. We spotted 5 baby takins. A must visit when in Thimphu

Takin- the national animal of Bhutan is been kept in the preserve. They come close to the fence for food and a visitor can observe them there.

Bhutan is all about the travel than the destination. So this hold good for Motithang as well. Few captivated takins and barking deers but if you are nature enthusiast, get your binoculars to spot various species of birds. also collect unique foliage from this region for your dry collection (if at all u can identify!)

As an animal lover, I was impressed with this strange species who seem to be very social. Watching the babies playing with each other and nursing was very special.

The animals are kept in good sized meadow and woodland enclosures, which is better for them, but does make seeing them a little harder. Bring a long lens, don't forget to manually focus to avoid auto focus on the fence, and wait.
