you can see the Big Buddha Temple as you fly in to Koh Samui. It is beautiful up close and its amazing that something so big can be built on such a small island. The monks are beautiful and i purchased something for a friend and they blessed it for me.

Worth a nose for the pictures and to get away from lounging by the pool but nothing to get too excited about. No entrance fee or dodgy bartering. Turn up, have a half and hour walk around. Take a few pictures. Nothing more. Worth a visit

Interesting place (it's not the Big B uddha from Phuket, but...). Makes a little viewpoint, easy to "climb" on! Fortunately it's low season now; there are nearly less tourists than shops...! Wat Laem Suwannaram, nearby, is more quiet, but also very nice!

I've never seen such a nice buddha statue, and the view is amazing! However, can be quite hot pending the time of year.

This exceeded my expectations. Amazing how they've built this. It's in the middle of nowhere but a must see on Koh Samui. Had some lovely pictures taken there

There's a sweet small village at the base of the Big Buddha. A beautiful spot with views out over the placid sea.

It's worth a visit for the pictures. Try to get onto an island tour that goes to all the best sites in one day. That'll help a lot since it can be hard to find on its own.

We rent a bike and went around koh samui just using a map for the direction. We stop by Big buddha, very impressive buddha, and view. recommend to go there before sunset, during the day might be very hot. Nice pictures to take and shops around to buy souvenir. You may do a wish and do some offering with monks.

its a romantic experience already on the way there with beautiful bay views from the narrow street to the little spot. Best by motorbike. Good view also from the top. Take some time to shop around the village and soak the atmosphere...
