I can't rave enough about this place. Need to reset your karma or build up some credits? Visit here. Organise a taxi driver in pattaya for 2 hours, agree on a price and go for it, he will know the drill. Just don't pay him until the end. Even better, take a Thai with you to maximize the experience. The Big Buddha is a nice spot if you're looking for some culture in Pattaya. It's clean and easy and relaxing. The monks are happy to bless you. It isn't a destination in itself but if you're looking to spend a few hours away from the insanity of the streets below, this isn't a bad option. It's on par with... More

Not far from central Pattaya. You go either by car/motor bike or hire a taxi. It's situated in Pratamnak Hill.

It became touristy, but still a must to do, when in Pattaya. On the other side of the hill is the best panorama of the city with a great and cheap " sailor " souvenir shop...

If you are fit enough walk to this religious spot and feel as though you have sacrificed to see it. Most visit in vans and buses, but as I live here this wonderful spot is a nearby garden. No one who visits ever sees the garden below the Big Buddha! SEE IT! It is in Chinese style and outlines the... More

All a little bit tacky and catering to bus loads of tourists, not the most inspiring temple to visit but the stunning views over Pattaya bay make it worth while.

Big Buddha status with various other positions of Lord Buddha...one interesting thing there is a status of fat person with a hole in the tummy wherein you aim you coin from a distance, so that it lands inside the tummy...nice top view of pattaya from this place.

on the side of Pattaya on a Hill with nice views, but the temple and the statue look quite tacky. You don't miss much if you dont go

I liked the big snakes on the steps, I did not like the bus loads of tourists to a place that is mediocre. I liked buying birds and letting them go even though the concept is ridiculous because by me doing that, I am encouraging people to capture the birds again for profit, so really I paid to cage the... This is a must for the panoramic view of Pattaya. There are 2 locations on the southern hills of Pattaya between Pattaya beach and Jomtien and no one should miss them. The Buddha is worth a visit on its accord too even though the the 102+ degrees was a killer.
