It's a magnificent site. We chartered a boat to go around for a few hours, we can only tour a small part of it. But definitely it's worth the ride, I was amazed by the work of nature. More

Really scenic place and i would give it 5 stars had it not been for the fact that the water was dirty. It is still worth a visit! Definitely do a tour on one of the junks but negotiate for the prices! More

The procession of boats out into the bay is actually a bit humurous, all lined up Indian File style. When you get there, no ship captain seems to have any manners about allowing everyone to see the feature rock formation; they just hog the space. The line up to get to see the caves becomes a bum fight, with the... More

Dont expect the bay to be postcard clear.. I have seen in clear of haze on only 5 out of almost 100 trips around this amazing place. The haze or smog drifts down from the coal fired power plants and the numerous brick kilns that are sited further up the Red River Valley. Still it is an amazing place and... More

We loved the views but were disenchanted when we saw the amount of garbage floating by our boat at night. It seems that all or most boats dump their waste into the Bayat night. Made swimming less appealing More

Halong Bay consists of a dense cluster of about 2000 islands and islets of which 90% are limestone. It forms an amazing seascape of limestone pillars along with about 2000 islands. The islands feature beautiful grottos and caves and interesting stone formation. The islands feature various sizes and shapes along the 120 km costline. Halong Bay was voted into new... More

Halong bay was the highlight of our trip to Vietnam. The ship was beautiful, the food was great, and the guide was very good. Visit to the floating village was a high point, as was swimming in the bay. I would recommend a sleepover on one of the junks, sunset and sunrise are magnificent. Have a great camera with lost... With Aclass Cruise, everything was such fun, was very clean and our room seemed to be very easy access to whatever we wanted. I especially liked the open dining times rather than a strict time with the same people night after night, made things more interesting. This particular destination did not lend itself to being out on the balcony, so... More
