This small museum in a large building describes the life of women in Vietnam, the many ethnicities, the traditions and the worship of the Mother Goddess. It will only take between 1 and 2 hours so it can easily be fitted in even a tight schedule.

Women in Vietnam are very great, they do everything what a man shall do, farm working, construction, take part in war. The most touching part is the stories about "Hero Mother", I couldn't help crying when I read one mother lost 10 of her sons and 2 grandsons, that's too cruel to her. I really enjoyed my visit to the Women's Museum, wandering through the exhibits feeling a lot of empathy and admiration for the Vietnamese women. It is exciting that there is a museum dedicated to women and I was really happy to have had the opportunity to go there. I certainly would recommend it to anyone going to Hanoi.
This was a very interesting museum with photos and artefacts which gave a good illustration of Vietnamese life. The displays all had informative English captions. The museum is air conditioned so it makes a welcome break if you have been trekking around the city.
This was a great museum with interest exhibits and information on display. The staff were friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed the cafe!
This was a decent museum to learn about Vietnam culture and history. A very interesting display was devoted to the working women who sell items on the streets of Hanoi to support their families. In video interviews, the women reveal the hardships and (small) rewards they experience.
Very good museum - lots to see and learn about with a variety of different displays and interactive tools. Staff were friendly and the cafe was something else!
Really interesting musueum, esp the section on the role of Women during the War. Everyhting is well laid out and very informative. Althoguh we did wlak past it twice, I blame the map!
It is located in Old Quarter area, about 10 minutes walk from Hoan Kiam Lake. The contemporary designed building is really catchy along the street dominated by the buildings from French Colonial Era. We were guided by HanoiKids, so we had no problem to reach the museum.
The museum is open from 8 am - 5 pm, seven days a...

It's so interesting!!!
Otherwise, I love the color and decoration of...
