The shows are back on every Friday and Saturday night. With three different shows rotating. A great slice of traditional performing arts, including theatrical stories, dancing and live music. Cant recommend it enough!!

Went to try out this experience but the shows have finished for this month. Please check before you go
One of the highlights of our trip. I truly enjoyed the show - the actors had such emotion and such involvement that it brought me into the story from the start. This isn't what I would normally attend or, I thought, enjoy - but the music, singing and, as mentioned, acting was just great. Support local theatre!

Took our kids here on Saturday night. Show only takes an hour so doable for kids. Show is in Khmer-spoken but English translation is available. Great introduction into Cambodian culture and celebrations. Benches are fairly uncomfortable after an hour (not very deep). Bring mosquito spray. Would definitely recommend.
If you have been to Thailand, I think you would not be too entertained by them. They have ust as many tribal related dances that I think Youtube can do just a good job. But I heard the ticket profits do help some local business, street children and some kind of organisation. So for that, I will just go for...

their dances felt very global as me and a friend could identify movements and sounds of South Africa, Togo, Indonesia, even a morris dance like routine. It was fun
There are 3 shows, we saw one theatrical show and the dance show. Both were equally wonderful! The theatrical show took you on a journey from birth to death in the Cambodian traditions and the dance show was a cocophony of splendid music and expression. Well worth a visit to both or all three shows!
This performance has the ability to capture your attention and for a moment lets you feel like you really see something ancient that's still a live. Although it's set up as an tourist attraction, it's of a good quality, and much better then most of the performances of ritual dances around the world, I've seen so far.

A truly enjoyable hour of theatre celebrating traditional Cambodian arts & culture, staged in a lovey outdoor setting in the courtyard of the National Museum.
The shows rotate and I felt lucky see a performance of Yike Opera, featuring drumming, singing, dancing and a simple though profound love story.
The musical instruments, dancing, and vocalizations were purely Cambodian and very...

The show is a bit cheesy but overall worthwhile. Honestly there is very little to do in PP and would not recommend travel to this city, esp for more than 1-2 days if going to Cambodia. Bring mosquito repellant and wear long clothes even if hot. The show is outdoors and we got eaten up despite using mosquito repellant.
