As this old city remains almost as it was in the old days, it is extremely impressive not only for archeology fans but also for all others. But, the crowds.... We were unlucky because the day we visited Ephesus, there were 2 big cruise ship that have arrived to Kusadasi and the site was jam packed... Under these circumstances, it... More

The entry point, route through the site, and exit well organised. Big crowds but gives authentic feel. Duration limited by bladder strength. Get a guide book to get all the interpretationyou need, and wander. Dont take Grand Tours - uninformative, and touting other businesses

If you are in the area of course you must go t Ephesus, and as other reviewers have said pay the extra for the terraced houses. It is all quite expensive but just bite the bullet. However, the Audio tour is not worth the 15tl. Usually I love audio tours as they inform while allowing you to take everything in... More

A must experiences although we were only in turkey for the day from a cruise I would love to see more of the country. What a fabulous place and so accessible although it is a little slippy on the well trodden stone paths so take good footwear. The toilets at the end had a long wait so asked the nice... More

Massive and well preserved amphitheater and library. Don't miss the terraced houses, even though y have to pay extra. Well worth it. Well preserved; stunning mosaic floors; original frescoes: also covered and a bit cooler! If you can, start at the end nearest the large amphitheater, as the mind boggling hordes from the cruise ship buses start at the other... More

To get here you can take a local public bus from the bus station. It costs only about 3TL. Or you could walk (about 4km) from the town center. Note that there are 2 entrances. The North entrance is the furthest, up a hill. The south entrance is where the public bus will drop you. I don't know if there... More

This one of the not to be missed experiences, it's just breath taking, walking along marble streets of a long ago city and walking around the amphitheatre is just magnificent, it really felt as if you were experiencing true history and walking in the footsteps of thousands of people who walked these paths long long ago. Allow as much time... More

Ephesus is one the highlights in Turkey. It is a large site where you need good shoes. The librarry is the top. Everything is build by Greece and Roman people. Also famous from the holy Bible. We visited Ephesus in April 2013; in high summer it will be very hot with less shadow. The old houses on the hill are... More

The length and breadth of the city is amazing. There is so much to see that is quite breath-taking - the 25,000 seater ampitheatre and the magnificent library facade are just a few. This is really a city and give yourself a few hours to enjoy it. Audio tour WELL worth the investment. Carry water. Drinks only available at either... More
