The Jerusalem of biblical times is often more in the mind than on the ground in a city that has been destroyed again and again. But strange the things that have survived, if not always from the time of Jesus then from around those times. The Ecco Homo site may have been the place where Jesus was paraded before the... More

In center focus of the via just down from the Damascus gate is a wonderful place to spread your wings and explore the Arab and other sections. All sorts of tasty activities take place in your direct sight. The convent is clean to a fault, well organized, respectful of foreigners, and the rooms are adequate. More than satisfactory if you... Wonderful guest house in the heart of the Old Jerusalem. The sisters are very hospitable and knowledgeable. The hostel is very clean, quiet and it is run by volunteers. Breakfast is included for $55. Wonderful vistas from the roof terace over the dome on the rock and the old city.

The Nuns are terrible. They don't wear as nuns. They wear like regular women. They are like dictators. You cant discus anything with them. They try to convince you to leave your hotel & stay in their guest house by saying bad things about were you are staying.

Our tour group had lunch here and it was excellent. We also sat out on the terrace afterwards and there was a beautiful view. It was a very clean and quiet, even though it was in the centre of Old Jerusalem.

Here you can see the Old City as it looks like under the ground. There are beautiful cisterns and on the old stones of the Cardo you can see the remains of the game like the one Roman soldiers played gambling the clothes of Jesus. The staff is very helpfull and kind. The place has no access for wheelchairs or... More

This is the place where Jesus was shown to the crowds by Pilat to chose between him and Barabas. The original arch is still preserved in the altar.
