This garden sits amidst thousands of crypts, but you can't really see them inside this garden. The olive trees are ancient and huge. It's a nice place to visit and know that at one time Jesus was in this area if not right in that place praying.

A haven of calm amid all the groups of tourists, The garden of Gethsemane had very old olive trees and many colorful flowers. There were also little lizards hiding on the tree trunks!
A must see. Did not like the religious touristy feeling. Would like to have walked in the garden area to sit and meditate. The church in the area is impressive.

To pray where Jesus prayed, his last night is truly a spiritual experience. The area is hilly and lots of Olive Trees, some over 2000 years old. A very spiritual place to be.

Despite its busyness there is still a stillness about it, despite the cry of...

I would return at twilight if possible the next time I go.....the history speaks to you from the earth if one is attuned to such. Loved...
